go fr phenom x4 940... theres a asus motherboard too whos name i frgt.. u can go fr msi options too... also 4gb ram... a 650W cooler master n a decent casing... 3 fans atleast and well look fr a decent graphics card... u shud find nice 1s.... check the prices fr them online... go desktop dude...

one part missin is that the tantrik was also rapin the elder sis... these guys shud b burnt alive after puttin acid on their d*** tat shud b a fittin punishment....

just reinstall the friggin OS ... its the simplest way thou the shutdown idea seems pretty decent...

go for 9600GT its cheap lik 5.5 - 6 K ...bargain wit the dealer a bit..

reload ubuntu again n try the removable drive option..i think it mite wrk...

try pcautoshutdown... its a old software and well u can just increase the time it goes on fr.... its barely 1 MB and well in the 6-7 minutes u can make it ring... ne 1 ll get up...

u can try the system restore function frm a prev store point... also u can try and goto add or remove files in control panel and remove the update packages 1 by 1.... usually the updates make a sys slow.. i prev owned a toshiba lappy n well it bcam pretty slow after a while of dwnldin the...

i too think u shud try fr phenom.. its lik 10k x4920 one and motherboard frm biostar is 5k and well the hard disk u can use a smaler 1.. try fr a 19" LCD ... 7k odd... also make sure u have a 64 bit OS as 32 bit cant support 4gb...

i dunnno this but i really dont think there shud b a prob... pl check the psu and well it does sound kinda odd... even thou power shortage shudnt cause slowdown it shud cause shutdown or som other kinda strange probs...
