Go to ur BIOS settings and look for DRAM setting. There u'll find the settings to reduce ur mem frequency. Also reduce ur graphics RAM to 64 mb(If its not 64mb). So that ur system gets a good amount of RAM..around 192mb I think changing the ram frequency will solve the problem but it surely...

Any of your req h/w components is not connected properly or is damaged.(eg RAM hard-disk) Open ur cabinet and re-establish all the wire connections. The symptoms you described can also result due to an unstable conf in BIOS,but since u didnt temper with it,its possibility is ruled out!!
