    THE BEST CONFIGURATION FOR AMD64

Here is a system I just built for a family friend. Except for the vid card. This is a value system I think. MInd you I built this in Canada, so it would cost at $1 CND = $35 Rupees, around 60K including 15% tax AMD64 Socket 754 3400+ CLawhammer DFI Lanparty UT NF3 250Gb Mobo (7.1 sound...

    Intel AMD

AMD64's don't really have heating issues anymore stock HSF will cool cpu 35idle/55work(in celcius). But for Indian climate without Air Conditioning, your probably better off with water cooling. Intel's been plauged with heating issues ever since there presscott core. Hopefully they'll dump...

dreaming of a LAPTOP : heres what I got today

If it's not a moblie AMD64, and were strictly talking about Intel CPU's for laptops, then PENTIUM M is the BEST Choice. Lower power consumption, with more processing capabilties compared to it's over powered cousin P4 with less capabilties. If Intel was smart, They'd take Pentium M to the...

Does lots of ram mean more frame rates

YOu need 512MB min of PC3200 DDR400 Ram. 128mb @ 266 is laughable. I would have dropped less cache on the Card and gone for a 9800XT, and pciked up some way better ram instead. And if your mother board can handle it get CAS 2 or 2.5 RAM. That will show you some serious Gaming improvments.

    Compaq refusing 40GB Harddisk..!!!

Raven's right about your system not detecting your HD. P1, It's definetly time for a SERIOUS upgrade.

    Comparing Amd Vs Intel

No it is not. First of all AMD Athlon64 CPU's are capable of 64bit, not just 32 bit processors. If you look at benchmarks, a 2Ghz AMD64 processor competes with a 3.2Ghz Intel. In actuallity, the FX-55 AMD64 processor is currently the FASTEST processor on the market. AMD has proven the...

Please help regarding CPU overheating ..

I would definetly do what raven said, but I think it might be a good idea for you to get a new HSF. You can always do better than stock.

    why so low 3d marks

It's just a regular Radeon 9600, not a SE, pro, or XT, with 128mb ddr ram.

HELP!.......... - 120 GB SATA - WHICH BRAND

Sata by your computer is considered a SCSI drive (I have one myself). As for what drive you should get, I personally prefer seagate or maxtor, both have 120gb versions of their SATA that are almost identical, and they both have 3 year warranties.

    AMD Slaps Intel again

No longer can Intel claim to be the fastest. With the cancellation of the 4 Ghz P4, AMD has now taken it's rightful place ontop for most powerful processor with the FX55 and AMD64 4000+ . And now Intel's pushed back (like I said they would) their Dual core processors to the first quarter of...

If the DFI Lan party UT NForce 3 250gb is available in India, I'd suggest you get it. It's got everything but video, and anyways, your getting a vid card.

    amd 64 headache

First off, Make sure you have proper ventilation in your case, usually one fan drawing air in (most effective if it's drawn from the front or side of the case), and one drawing air out (rear of case), plus one fan in your power supply blowing air out. If you have your PC in non AC'ed generally...
