Please suggest a Laptop under 22K

Actually, a low-budget laptop is what's required. but thanks for the idea anywayz, I'll recommend it to my friend :) Thanks n3rd ! I went through that on Flipkart(both of them). But the big question is, are they good enough ! I mean, cheap and good never go hand-in-hand, but there must be a...

    A good book for Algorithms

Not trying to jump the thread, I just need to clarify something, as I found this thread to be relevant to my doubts .. I have CLRS and also the Automata Books mentioned. However, unlike OP, I'm not interested in pursuing higher studies in TOC/FAFL. I just want to know the practical...

Linux From Scratch As A Final Year Project

Thank You CyberKID. Actually, I've already done Travel And Tourism Information Systems project in 2nd year itself, using VB2010. Seems like I need to drop the idea of LFS just because there are too many issues associated. In that Case, please suggest me some alternatives, may be some projects...

Linux From Scratch As A Final Year Project

Thanks For Your Suggestions. I want to churn something out of it, that will serve the purpose, because I'm in my pre-final year, I thought like it would take me more than one semester to complete it, so it can be very well regarded as my final year project. I seriously doubt my college's profs...

Linux From Scratch As A Final Year Project

Thanks for the reply. Since I'm a beginner at this, can you be a little bit more specific please. As of now, all I have is some Operating System concepts(as in my syllabus, A. Tanenbaum), and can comfortably work in the Linux environment. Hence the LFS idea. If possible, please provide some links...

Linux From Scratch As A Final Year Project

Hi guyz, I was wondering if I would choose LFS to be my final year project. I am utterly confused, as in some forums, I have read that LFS is too dumb to get counted as a final year project. If that's so, please suggest me some ideas that seem challenging enough. I am open to all ideas and want...

    PHP vs J2EE

@all : Thanks for all comments ! So, guess I will be going ahead with learning EJB, and databases in particular. @avinandan012 and @amithansda : If I continue along the line, will I(as an undergrad) have too many opportunities. I mean, Java Enterprise is used by professionals, so they may...

    PHP vs J2EE

^Thanks. My main confusion is about platform and language only. As in the previous post by Faun, JSP is mainly used by the professionals, so does that count as 1 in an undergrad résumé ? Does a project on web-development count at all ?

    PHP vs J2EE

hi all, This summer I did a course on J2EE, topics covered were JSP and Servlets, and an introduction to EJB. I am currently in the 3rd year, pursuing B.Tech in Information Technology. I have heard from my friends that PHP is a language which is easier to learn and implement, as also PHP...

Is networking domain a low paying job?

You bet, I do have a lot of zeal. Currently, I am in the 2nd yr.(IT). When in class 11th, I wanted to be a hacker, someone suggested me to be thorough with networking 1st. Since then, I have a knack for it, but eventually I see no enthusiasm in others w.r.t this field. It's ok buddy. Actually...

Is networking domain a low paying job?

hmm.... and that too in a consultancy company !! whatever, the big question is that if you have already chosen B.Tech as your carrier, should you shy away from networking domain to keep better health.... as the same labour can yield better in other aspects !?! In fact, should an "engineer" not...

Is networking domain a low paying job?

But you are having B.Tech degree also, won't that count ? I know a person who completed her B.Tech from a fairly good college and worked for 7 yrs. in TCS. Her salary now is 12 l.p.a . Now if you have B.Tech degree and CCIE also, then you get good salary after a long experience, isn't it weird...
