I want to check if the performance increases or not by freeing up RAM, as sometimes I feel , if 1333 MB of RAM is permanently allocated to intel hd 3000 then I am left with 1739 MB of ram only, which is sometimes inadequate for some heavy games...

I think they are clearing the stock, for 2nd generation intel processors, however the same system is for 93.5k on hp website... If u are okay wid the processor, go for it, it's a steal...

If u are going for an x86 based OS i dont think u will be able to have more than 4GB of RAM installed in your system.. 32bit architecture (x86) only support RAM upto 4gb however 64bit (x64) architecture can support RAM of upto (yet impractical) 128GB I suppose.. Tech Gurus , please correct me...

Yaa GT555M has to be better.. it's used in alienware m14x that too 1.5 gb.. btw ~60fps is very good for a mid range lappy.. (but having a bit high end GPU) :-D :twisted: :lol:

It's absolutely a great buy. If you are okay with the screen size and resolution is not of much concern, then it is the best at this price point. The i5 2nd generation, 4GB DDR3 can handle most of the apps very smoothly and easily. And if you are into gaming a bit, casual type, then it has one...

Demon lord- Thanks for the reply.. Is there any other brand than Acer, whose laptops can be considered in this price range because after sales service of Acer near near my surroundings is very poor, and no machine can be considered flawless.
