Phone for dad around 20k

Amoled/LCD 90/120hz and around 6.5 inches.

3. Dual sim?
Yes

4. Preferred choice of brand?
Motorola, Samsung.
Not preferred: Oppo, Vivo, Realme, etc.

5. What camera option you want (flash, front facing camera)?
Not a priority as number of photos taken are going to be quite low.

6. Preferred operating system? (Android, iOS,Stock Android etc).
Stock Android.

7. Preferred connectivity options (Dual 4G,802.11AC/5Ghz(not 5g mobile network) wifi).
4G/5G for future proofing

8. Primary use of handset (multimedia, camera, internet, gaming etc)?
WhatsApp, Telegram, YouTube.

9. Any specific mobile phones in consideration?
Moto Edge 20 Fusion, Moto G51 and Moto G31

10. Any other info that you want to share
The phone is going to be used by my dad, and we don’t want to get something expensive as he keeps dropping it.
Moto G51 looked perfect but I’m not too sure of the huge size, and it’s even larger than my iPhone with a similar screen size.
Edge 20 Fusion is a bit out of the budget as of now, and I need to get the phone in the first week of Jan.
He currently uses a Samsung A20 but the amount of bloatware present is keeping me away from buying again.

if you are looking for stock android then the only decent options are in motorola. choose from available options.

My wife is using M31 while I am using M31s All 3 uses the same processor and its Exynos 9611 processor is good for daily tasks. Not recommended for hardcore gaming though.

I paid for Motorola display 5.4k twice because it's display got cracked when it fell out of my hands.
They just said display damage is called physical damage which is not covered under any warranty at all so they made me pay them 5.4k

Again it fell and broke diagonally

Even though Motorola claims it to have any Dragontrail or Gorillaglass what ever it is.

So don't just fall for processors look about after market service also.

I suggest Poco m3 pro 5G @ 14.5k at least we can debloat it and use.

If you can increase your budget then get Samsung M52 5G or else go with Samsung M32.
Don't go with Motorola & for that matter Realme & Poco or Xioami are all the same , cheap Chinese look alikes.

Indian Bank apps won't install onto custom os because that's what happened with a member from another forum and the solution he got was to install stock os for his phone.

The budget is 22k now and from my research as well, it’s between the Moto Edge 20 Fusion and the Realme GT Master Edition.

Nokia has no presence in the 20k price bracket, and I would rather get a Motorola than a Samsung.

Obviously I can also go ahead and get a Mi/Realme/Poco and flash Stock Android on it, but I’ve been away from the Magisk/SuperSU game for a while and would not risk it on a phone I will not be using.

Dad’s past 2 phones have been with Stock Android (Moto) before Samsung and he was pretty happy and comfortable with it so I am going to wait for 1st Jan for Flipkart’s sale and order one.

I bought M32 6GB/128GB model for my aunt under 14k with sale & card offer. It is an ok phone IMO for that price. I saw some lag, but maybe because I use S20 FE.

Card offers are a different ball game. I have only quoted prices amazon app is showing right now so it is worth it to check out card offers on all decent front runners in one's budget.
M32 5g is a decent pick since it has newer dimensity cpu and card based discounts will bring it below 20k easily.
M52 is also a good contender above 20k
Which do you prefer in above 20k segment m52 or oneplus nord?
