You need to get the screen replaced. If phone was released 3-4 years ago, you may find difficulty in finding spares

Yes its that much old do you have any tips on how to prevent the screen of my other phone from degrading the same way? . I noticed with all touch screens they somehow eventually degrade like I have an Apple phone that also had similar issues and also pressed random icons and buttons I still cant fix that also I have a All in one PC the touch screen of it similarly started flickering I got it connected to a external non touchscreen moniter that makes the PC usable atleast.
Because of the above mentioned issues I have experienced with touchscreens I want to take care of my other phones Samsung M31 moniter and make it last long.

actually the issue seems that there is dirt and moisture going into the screen. Do you live in sea shore area? Or is your area highly humid?

the maximum one can do is buy a thick phone case and apply tampered glass. But that is yet again not proven to prevent dirt from depositing. Not much can be done tbh.

how much have these items fallen down from your hands? Too much of that too leads to issues.

1. Yes I do live in a humid area. although touch screen things are the only things that seem to degrade like this for me I have this PC 1920x1080 non touch screen external monitor which I use for my AIO PC now its been working fine for many years perhaps 8 years never having issues although it has dirt and dust stains inside it which I can see on the screen but it is not that noticeable.
2. I have never dropped a smart phone from my hands especially not this one.

^ then humidity is the culprit for sure. Actually touchscreen phones have a thin layers between digitiser and lcd panel, the humidity collects in that area and once it reaches the coneectors, it is dead. Conventional LCD panels dont have this gap, and if they have, it covered.
