Old 2012 Activa exchanged for ₹23k

Congrats on all the new acquisition,

My ques, (Just a quick Little Bit OT here)

(1) Is this an exchange program from Honda or This Person specific / Dealer Specific Gesture to the certain valued customer?

if yes, then...

(2) Is only for same model-oriented exchange? Like Old Activa against New Activa?

(3) I own Honda Motor Bike 2011 model (249cc), Though past 11 months it is not driven - Can I use that to exchange any Honda two-wheeler product, Bike is preferable but scooter will do.

Thank you..
(1) Exchange was neither from official Honda nor Honda dealer but some 3rd party reseller who had tie-up with the dealer. Dealer (or) the showroom manager may have some backend dealing arrangement with this guy but to us he says - Honda or himself has nothing to do with the exchange or pricing and they are merely facilitating the exchange. However, note that the reseller never paid us anything. He settled with the dealer directly.

(2) Since it was a 3rd party reseller in my case, I believe any vehicle could have been exchanged.

(3) I'd suggest you sell it yourself via Olx or other direct platforms and that would definitely fetch more value. Our old Activa could've fetched 28k if only my father agreed to wait for me to try other channels. It takes time to find the right buyer. He usually doesn't wait for "good deals" or some "sale" to happen to save extra few bucks so I didn't have a choice.

Thanks for the valuable input,

I found this website, Though the network is very very limited and in my case, there is no coverage at all.

Are you sure your dealer is not listed here?

One of the big hassles with selling a vehicle is this below the point which is covered in the official channel

Code:
Complete peace of mind for both Seller & Buyer with full document transfer support

New addition to the CC collection. Technically not a purchase but since I paid the fees, I guess it counts.
Wish I got it a month earlier - would've saved about 2k extra on the laptop purchase at FK.

What advantage do you get for using this card or Amazon's card over a traditional CC or DC? Other than discounts I mean.

Cashbacks, higher % from issuing website (FK or amazon). Amazon one has no annual fees which is great, but cashback goes to amazon pay balance vs bank account for FK card.

Not much idea about other CCs, I never felt the need to get a CC. Tried to get amazon CC during some promo where they were giving ₹1000 as pay balance but mine & my friend's applications were rejected for unknown reasons.

Yep, that's right. In addition -
  • Unlimited cashbacks without cap in both Amazon/FK cards (traditional cards sometimes have category-wise cashback cap or points accrual caps). My Amazon card earnings from July-2019 till date is ₹8266 (averages to ₹435 per month back to me for ₹0 fees paid to bank). I don't purchase something from Amazon for the sake of cashback, these are regular pantry and other purchases that I do and you get free money on top of the already discounted items on Amazon. So yeah, the card is definitely useful IMO.
  • Promotion: Get ₹500 FK voucher back if you use the card within 30 days. (so that cancels out the first year charges)
  • Regular benefits:
    • 5% cb on Flipkart, Myntra, 2GUD
    • 4% cb on cure.fit, GoIbibo, MMT, PVR, Uber
    • 1.5% cb on all other spends
    • 4 complementary domestic lounge visits in a year
Having said that, I did not analyze all these and apply for the card. I only got it for 2 simple reasons -
(1) I like to have CCs from various banks for sale times and
(2) though I hardly use Flipkart these days, looking at history, I at least made 2 or 3 high value purchases in a year so it will save few extra bucks even if used rarely.

On my sbi card I have gotten 8k vouchers as reward points redemption in a year & this is excl the discounts/cashback offers on amazon which is another 8k something.

@007 Your usage of amazonpay card is alright but you can aim for much more. :)

Nice! but how much did you have to spend in transactions roughly in total for the points? Which sbi card is it btw?

Around 2 lakh on sbi simplyclick card which gives 2.5% worth reward points on all amazon transactions(excl wallet loading, similar benefit available on bookmyshow, cleartrip, lenskart, netmeds & dineout) & 1.25% on all other online transactions(excl wallet transactions). Spending 1 lakh(online+offline) results in waiving off of annual fee of 500+gst & achieving 1 lakh online spend gives you 2k cleartrip voucher & another 1 lakh online spend gives you another 2k cleartrip voucher.
