R3500X Vs 3600X

I am kind of in urgent need for a processor and MB but as 3600 or 3600x are not available in any of the sites, not sure what options do I have. 3600XT is available in Amazon at around 22k and 3500x at around 15, I am not looking for the new processor line up as they are pretty costly. Are there any major differences between 3500X AND 3600X? Or can I settle down with ryzen 3 at around 9.5 for now. I am looking for daily purpose use with casual gaming.

For 15k, i5 10400 is a better choice than R5 3500X. The i5 is just a bit inferior to R5 3600 but no one was recommending it earlier because 3600 was better & was under 16k once upon a time. Now with high Ryzen prices, better get i5 10400.

For mobo, MSI B460M Pro VDH WiFi is a good one for about 10k.

R3 3100 is still available for under 9k at some places, it is good for its price, but before recommending it, mention your usage, requirements, budget & parts you already have.

for casual gaming,an i5 or ryzen 5 is not really needed.

if you have a gpu,you could just buy an i3 10100f-it will cost under 8k and can be paired with a cheap h410 mobo under 5k.

Small difference now, but i5/R5 are more future-proof, like just change GPU after 3 years to continue gaming for a bit more at respectable settings. Quad-core CPUs in few years will be like what dual-core CPUs are now. Remember that next-gen consoles have an underclocked R7 3700X as the CPU, so games will become more CPU heavy in 3 years or so.
