Obviously cost cutting & trying to cash on popularity of earlier models, unfortunately many other companies try this tactic too & that's why I suggest to not just rely on brand name/series history when pc components/electronics products are concerned.
True, sadly no good cheap gaming monitors for India.

True Zen2 rig:

CPU - AMD Ryzen 3 3100 - 8.6k

Mobo - Asrock B450 Pro4 ATX - 7k*

RAM - 1x16GB DDR4 3000MHz - 6k

GPU - New GT 1030 - 6.5k

SSD - Yours

HDD - Yours

PSU - Corsair CX450 - 3.5k

Cabinet - Corsair SPEC 01 - 2.9k

Monitor - BenQ GW2480 24" 1080p IPS - 9.5k

Total - 44k

* ASUS TUF B450M Pro Gaming - 8k is another good option, both need the latest BIOS to run 3rd gen Ryzen CPUs, but most seller have latest stock with BIOS pre-installed these days.

I like this one. never thought descrete GPU will be an option in this price range. But I guess GT 1030 is similar in spec to Vega 11 iGPU. (correct me if I am wrong). But its true Zen2, and adding the Keyboard and mouse I think it will be around 45k. So is it worth the performance and/or upgrade potential.

Anyways I think I will have to wait a bit as most of the parts are out of stock or at higher prices right now. Maybe due to high demand after reopening of lockdown.

I didn't know about that website, thanks. Strange though, why LG put a 6bit+FRC on that 24" vs 8bit on 22". Not sure how much cost a DP adds as well.

Actually The benq also shows 6bit+FRC in the spec.

What do you think of this. Found it from another thread in the monitor/TV section. On paper the spec is good. Even thoughit has 6bit+FRC, the sRGB and NTSC coverage is more than 100% which is quite uncommon in this price range. The user in the thread mentioned light bleeding. Available for 10k.

And BenQ lists it as 8 bit in their website

Yah found that. Which one can be trusted here?

I would trust the displayspecifications site because it is not like benq has some "very truthful company" image plus if you think logically benq site is correct in technically claiming 6bit+FRC as 8bit because it is not like they are claiming it as true 8bit(which would have left company vulnerable to potential legal issues).

sorry guys, Couldn't buy the PC as the cash got tied up with something else. In the meantime I got hold of two old monitors. Now that will have to do. I guess as the requirements have changed and as have most of the prices and stock availability, it would be better to start a new thread instead of modifying this. Thank you guys for the support.
