I don't think there is any newbie friendly guide to machine learning. Most of it is mathematics and statistics, so you should first look up material for mathematics fundamentals first and only after you learn that then you can start learning how to apply them technically.

I myself have a very elementary understanding of machine learning, but I found a link that has all the mathematical requirements: The Mathematics of Machine Learning

Deep learning is somewhat different from machine learning (but comes under the same umbrella) in that it requires understanding of neural networks.

Are you sure?High school maths is not even worth mentioning & as for engineering maths, unless it is a full fledged 2 semester course where B S Grewal maths book is the most basic one you read then I doubt it is enough.

Thanks for the link much appreciated Yeah that book had neural networks and many partial differential equations statistics which I didn’t understand. Will look into maths more.

I had engineering maths 2 semester but i dont know it was bs grewal or not.The maths was quite hard barely passed :)

Start with what is Supervised and Unsupervised learning. Then start digging into Unsupervised learning. Learn linear regression and clustering. It you understand the maths, it's pretty intuitive.

That’s the problem I am not able to understand the concept.

Which guide you followed?

No guide, learned at my workplace. I don't work in ML, but I have some colleagues who do and I implement integrations to their ML modules, so I have some idea. But not so much that I can build an ML model on my own.

Supervised learning and Unsupervised learning is actually quite simple. Any kind of "learning" that the machine does without any external influence is called Unsupervised Learning. However, whenever there is labeling of data by human or other sources to create divisions in different type of groups that is made when categorizing data, it's referred to as Supervised Learning.

Guys i am almost complete doing this course on coursera Machine Learning
Its by Andrew Ng.This course is very popular but little bit outdated. It uses Octave programming language instead of python.
@Desmond David I am also following this data science book but its math heavy.
