Recommend a new monitor for gaming

This enquiry was prompted in part by amazon's ongoing great indian sale-i have been meaning to upgrade my monitor for a while and lg's mp68vq had caught my attention, primarily because it is an ips panel and offers 3 input ports.

Currently i am using a 20 inch Samsung monitor - today i noticed that amazon is offering the aforesaid LG monitor for 8k only. What i would like to know is, is this lg monitor a reliable unit and has good display quality?

Given that its an ips panel, does it have any known issues like Backlight bleeding etc? Also i will be running most of my games at 900p as my gpu(gtx 960)is not quite capable of running newer titles at 1080p-will games look exceedingly blurry when played at 900p on a 1080p screen?

Please advise whether this monitor will be a worthwhile purchase or not, thanks.

I have two LG 4K 27" FreeSync monitors. What I can safely say is that they are the best in class.

This model looks to be the 23" version of one of them. You can go ahead with it.

You will have to confirm from somewhere. The website doesn't say anything.

Edit:

LG LG Electronics: Consumer Electronics & Appliances from LG | LG India

If you check here, it says "Pdt" 3 for monitors (under IT section).

What does pdt stand for?

Acc to mdcomputers.in, this monitor has 3 yrs warranty :

LG 22MP68VQ-P - 22 Inch 99% sRGB Gaming Monitor (Amd Freesync, 5ms Response Time, FHD IPS Panel, D-Sub, DVI, HDMI)

I wonder if its accurate or not.

Btw will games look too blurry if played at 900p on a 1080p ips panel?

Yes, lowering resolution will look bad but you can do 1 thing you could lower details to get acceptable frame rates

27UD68P or UK ?
The UK has added HDR but sadly launched after a year after I purchased the former.
