my old asus gave me screen problems..even aftr a new screen replace under warantee the screen remained sluggish..hows the zenmaxpro 1 in this regard..i hope it isnt a risk.also please advice how to manage a phone off a flash first sale...they run off stock in a jiffy

Pro M1 is readily available now, no need of flash sales.

It is an ok device (Redmi 6 Pro) if you want a compact phone, otherwise, Asus Zenfone Max Pro 6GB & Redmi Note 5 Pro 4GB are a better choice. You can also get the Nokia 6.1 plus if you want something with a better brand value & it is more compact as well as lighter than Asus & RN5P, similar size to Redmi 6 Pro but lighter (because of smaller capacity battery, I guess).

Lost redmi 6 today in flash sales both on flipkart as also mi site..no pt in waiting for them..convincing wife and going for zen pro 1 ..hopefully order by today

Redmi 6 is inferior to 6 Pro(inferior display, chipset & battery). I suggested Redmi 6 Pro if you want something compact:
