Hi Friends,

I am here to seek advice regarding the system upgrade for my brother.

1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')

Ans: Currently its for the purpose for SAP/Linux but later it will be for gaming purpose as well(when we upgrade graphics card).
2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans:30-35k

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans:Yes, in coming future after upgrading graphics card.

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans:Windows 10/Linux (i already have)

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans:We have 750 GB WD internal and 1 TB WD external, is there need to upgrade please suggest.

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: No

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: He has Zotak GeForce GTX 660 card which he will upgrade later and have
Seasonic S12II Series 520-Watt Power Supply.

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: With in 2 weeks

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans:Yes

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Delhi, buying local and online both where price is lower.

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: We will be upgrading this machine in phases, right now focus is on Motherboard, Processor and Ram. suggestion should be made keeping in mind that this PC will be used for hardcore gaming in future.

Thanks

I would suggest 2600x cos many of them end up buying separate cooler for the 2600 ( 15500 for cpu and 2500 for cooler) so better to go with 2600x

And mobo look for x470 chipset. If budget permits then asus. Or else gigabyte.

2600 comes with cooler and it does a nice job at cooling CPU.
Modified with X470 Motherboard
AMD RYZEN 5 2600-15000
Gigabyte X470 AORUS ULTRA GAMING-14000

My cousin is using stock cooler on his Ryzen 1600 and he is not facing any issue but which case are you using it may be the case or thermal paste which is causing overheating

Given the budget and purpose, 2600 is good enough. BTW, 2600x too comes with coooler (at least that's what it says in mdc description).
He is gonna upgrade things in phasing manner, so if he finds he needs a better cooling solution, he can buy one then.
With his 520w PSU, he can't go crazy with OC. So I why X series board.
