RAM Upgrade for my ASUS laptop.

Hey guys so i am planning to increase the RAM of my ASUS R558UQ laptop to 8GB and currently i found this,

so reading in the comments, someone commented its MRP on the box is 3.3K and one more 4.2K , so i am confused whether should i really buy it for 5.3K ?

Can somebody suggest or guide me with this ?

RAM prices have almost doubled in the last year. I added a used 4gb ram for my laptop for 1.5k. See if you can get a used RAM for cheaper.

In that case , try offline stores in SP road for approx price for reference. Who knows, you may get a good deal. While buying from amazon, make sure to buy amazon fulfilled, so if you get a fake one, you can return it. I believe you can check authenticity at respective manufacturer's website using serial number.

ddr4 4gb ram is going for 2700 right now and 8 gb for 4500-4700 .. rest you can refer this list.. and check locally first .. amazon,fk most of the times have higher prices when it comes to pc parts..

and ram prices are increasing every month , because of supply shortage .. so mrp on box isn't good idicator if somebody has some old mrp box or if the review is a few months old when ram prices were less ..
