Don't buy any Xiaomi device. No spare parts even at xiaomi exclusive centres.

Looking at the import data page, they seem to have brought in stuff!
Well I hope they improve the service, I'm sure they will, considering the effort they have put in so far, and the number of handset sold is pretty big numbers now so they will have to or they might fail

Btw the accessories were available on ebay, pretty early, I got mine from there

I was waiting for genuine accessories from xiaomi. I don't buy any stuff online which i cannot be sure that its genuine. Issue here is not how i damaged my phone or what i should i have done to protect it. Issue is its been almost 2.5 months since xiaomi first flash sale and there are no spare parts, even in xiamoi exclusive service centre as well. That's when they uave sold lakhs of xiaomi device (including Mi3 and Redmi 1S). Not even one batch has arrived in delhi or gurgaon till now. If it was just happening with one service centre even then it was not that big deal. But its more then one ( again which includes xiaomi exclusive centre)

My dad has dropped the phone atleast 100 times and so far not even a single scratch but few days back it dropped from a height which it was not built to last. So the lower portion of the touch screen cracked a bit and now that cracked portion is not responding to touch. Which leaves it useless as unlock mechanism of the phone is that area. Can't unlock phone and can't even answer the call as even the

No phone from any brand will cover warranty for accidental damage or survive 100 falls I am amazed that your phone survive such amount of abuse.Lg G3 provides accidental protection but that cost more than twice what a Mi3 costs.
Truth is if you have done same thing with Lg,Samsung,Htc they would have denied you to repair your phone on your face since it is accidental.wait for sometime xiaomi haven't denied you for repair just they told spares are not available.

This is just beginning as i am collecting as much proof as i can. I am posting emailing as much as i can to get answer from xiaomi. Also recording calls made. Video recording conversation with xiaomi service centre people (was planned for today but something came up so will try tomorrow). I have also read many flipkart reviews with same problem.
So i am not the only one. One review which was posted last month. That guy device is in service centre from one month and his broken screen has not yet been replaced. They are giving the same excuse which they gave me. It will take 7-10 days.
I will give my mobile tomorrow so that i will have additional proof as well.

I am planning on filling a case in consumer court too ( if its not too much of a headache. Still learning about the whole process as i decided to do this today, Wednesday, only. Hope its not that difficult)

You should have purchased MMX Canvas Nitro, superior to Moto G in every respect.

It's Micromax.... People with self-esteem don't buy Micromax. Besides, battery on mmx sucks and the moto g has the best speaker in the category. These are the only 2 things my dad is interested in.

Mediatek drains battery faster than sd 400 and moto g's loudness and sound quality is unmatched in this category.
Also, I don't wanna make my dad look cheap in front of other people by making him carry a Micromax.

Reviews say otherwise.

Motorola Moto G review: Little big G - page 3 - GSMArena.com

Nitro also has no usb otg support.
Nitro even lacks a half decent review.
Also, it's Micromax.

Please refer:

I said spare parts are not available. I am not claiming warranty. And i don't want to order any spare parts online. If that spare part doesn't work or causes any problem in few days then i will loose twice the money. I want to pay xiaomi and get my device fixed.

---------

He did not claim warranty. He just wants the stuff repaired. A phone is not a shampoo bottle or soap which if damaged you could just replace and go on merrily. Phone contains so much different types of data that is not easily transferable to another even when properly working forget when damaged. Easy to say keep backups but not so much to do.

He is absolutely right in doing whatever he is doing now and companies should be answerable. They should be able to support what they sell. It is not like he is asking them for spares of a 5 year old outdated handset, it is brand new one. If nothing they should have at least kept some units disassembled to be used for service alone as spares.

No one is going to deny repairing. a company will only deny repair under warranty and will ask for repair charges (which op is ready to pay). who known what xiaomi service centre is going to do - repair it free or ask for repair charges.

I am the master of my Fate.
So almost every alternate day he used to kick it off the bed in his sleep. But no scratch all those times. And it also fell lot of times from his shirt pocket.
That's a bad treatment to a phone....even dropping 100 times is like not carefully using it
