Old Phone Unlock Problem - Sony Ericsson W350a

Hi guys

Its funny, finding info about old phones is so hard these days, all forums and support sites etc are only for smartphones! If anybody can help me with this it will be greatly appreciated.

I have a Sony Ericsson W350a bought through AT&T in USA. I moved back to India and got it unlocked from a random mobile repair shop. It worked for some time and now it appears to be locked again.

But the strange thing is that if I am traveling abroad, any SIM works (including my Indian Vodafone SIM). But when I am in India then no SIM works, the phone says 'Emergency Calls Only' and on manually searching and trying to connect to any network it says 'Forbidden Network'.

Is there anything I can do to 'fully unlock' the phone?

Why not get a new phone ??

Probably will, but this is a spare phone in the house (ankush28 is right, its only for calling) and I'm curious and intrigued to know now what the problem is...so thought I will see if anybody knew whats up...I don't mind trying out different things and messing up the phone in the process

In the time being I am trying to find the correct firmware files to flash onto it to debrand it as well (currently it is AT&T firmware) as well as a flashing tool which works! All of this is hard to find these days, and from what I've found the links usually turn up dead...

Probably he needs it just for calling?

I too use a second phone for just calling besides my N4.......... I can't find a dual SIM phone which fulfills my requirements
