If you are willing to stretch 4K, then you can get the Core i5 3rd gen + 8GB RAM, all other specs will be the same.

CLOSE YOUR EYES AND GO FOR: HP G6-2313AX

There is nothing not to like in AMD APUs. They are cheaper than intel counterparts, sufficient for good gaming and offer more raw power for price. If you had a slowdown with an older PC with AMD Processor its definitely not because of the processor.

Pros:
1. The 7660G + 7670M Combo will beat nvidia 630M by a huge margin.
2.The A10 processor is enough for gaming and for fast multitasking.
3. 6 GB RAM and 1 TB Hard Disk.
4. This laptop fits your budget.
5. My friend has this machine and he is happy with new games running on med-high settings on the native 1366x768 resolution of the laptop.

Cons:
1. Comes without OS so you need to install the os in "some other way". If you want a similar laptop with OS included go for the HP G62301AX. This one has a weaker processor but still enough for gaming and is also cheaper. Use the extra cash to buy yourself a cooling pad and a good mouse/mousepad. (Have used 4 gaming mice, PM for info)

If you want to know what all games will run on the 7660G + 7670M combo, go here. NOTE: The part of the site that shows the frames per second in games you have to see the "HIGH" column and not the "ULTRA" column because ULTRA = everything max 1920x1080 resolution, HIGH = everything max 1366x768 Resolution. The laptops have a 1366x768 Resolution so just see the HIGH column. You can see that most games will run on smooth 30 fps if you play on medium high settings.

You can check other GPU benchmarks on: notebookcheck.com
Check and compare similar laptops on: Flipkart
Before you buy do check out the reviews of the laptop. (Flipkart reviews usually don't count unless the numbers are huge as most of them are not well supported and written in excitement.)

Cheers! Hope this helps.

I wouldn't buy a laptop to play games, it will suffer form overheating in few months.

Have you actually bought a laptop with a good GPU and played games on it for a few months to base your assumption on?

OP while its true that you should go for a desktop to play games, some people like me who stay in the hostel need a laptop for gaming and its completely fine to play games on a laptop provided you take care not to block the vents. It wont overheat and shut down and will run good for a long time.

EXACTLY. Could people please respond to OPs question and be helpful? Everyone knows that gaming rigs>>Laptops for gaming, but that's not his question is it? It's like suggesting to buy a DSLR camera when someone's asking about a phone with high res camera.

Fully agreed. And here is the proof. Left side image is with crossfire disabled(only 7670m) and right side is with crossfire enabled(a8+7670m).Notice the fps at the top left corner. And I think A10 laptops will benefit more since mine is an A8 laptop.

Did another check on asymmetrical crossfire. Just check the result. :bananana:
