P.S the game works properly on my other laptop LEnovo i7 :(

you can run CS 1.6 on high settings on intel hd 3000 graphics which doesn't have any opengl issue. if you're not able to run the game on both amd and intel graphic cards, then probably the game is corrupt. get clean game or buy from steam.

Thanks for the reply.

The game is not a problem as I tried another cs game condition zero which works very well in my friends and my other laptop.

Is there any specific setting or updates of my drivers to be done? :(

It works on mine just now tested!

change to windows XP compatibility mode and run the game on D3D in Options of Game, works fine even on Dynamic mode

@s18000rpm. My game is non steam, and it works on any other laptop i tried and also when I right click on steam i don't get the 'run with graphics processor' option. Any ideas for non steam?

@Amritraj I also changed the compatibility to Windows Xp but it still is not working. And how to change the game to d3d?

Once you start the game in XP SP3 compatibility an error appears like starting in software mode(like that) then game starts in 640xsomething resl. then go to Options>Video>Renderer(toggle it to D3D)

And mine is Valve edn of CS condition 0 and 1.6

Yes i did change. [What i did was I went to bios menu by pressing f10 and changed the switchable graphics to fixed and reinstalled counter-strike But it still wont launch [BIOS version F.1A] I even tried condition zero but it still doesn't open.

I installed some games like Burnout paradise and Max Payne. These games are running properly.

Is it an Open-GL issue

P.S I went to a friend of mine who has same Hp-Dv6 6121tx laptop with the same bios, and the game opens succesfully in his laptop. Also our driver versions are some.Hope this gives u experts some clue..

ty for the time....

I have the same laptop, and I never faced any issues with CS 1.6. I run it in Power Saving GPU mode, and have the latest Catalyst installed.
Don't know why it is creating problem on yours.
