Thanks for the reply. I have increased my budget to 56k, don't need monitor, kb/mouse, UPS, DVD writer.

considering you building yourself a gaming rig, heres a config:

Processor: Phenom II X4 955 3.2GHz B.E: 7.9k
Motherboard: MSI 790GX-G65 AM3: 7.1k
Cooler: Scythe Katana3: 1.6k
Ram: Transcend 4GB DDR3 1333MHz C9: 5.2k
Hard Disk: Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB: 5.3k
Graphics Card: Sapphire HD5870 1GB GDDR5: 22.9k
PSU: Corsair VX550W: 5.2k or Seasonic Bronze S12II 500W: 4.9k
Cabinet: NZXT M59: 3.8k or Cooler Master Centurion 690: 4.2k

Total: 58.7k (with Seasonic & NZXT).

i given a value ram cause if you OC, you will most probably upp the multiplier. & a suitable motherboard for the hungry proccy. & that graphics card will last for many many years.

build an Intel system & you may loose the budget.

Corsair 4GB DDR3 1600MHz C9 Titanium @ 5.8k
Sapphire HD5850 1GB GDDR5 @ 15.8k
Corsair VX550W @ 5.2k
NZXT M59: 3.8k

total - 56.8k

Thanks for the replies guys. :D I will mostly be using the PC for coding works as I'm a developer, so don't need such a powerful GFX card. I only do occasional gaming, but it'd be good to be able to run heavy games smoothly.

Damn m envious. :p
BTW thats a lot of moolah considering you will need that PC for encoding purposes only.
However it doesn't hurt to have a monster config.Helps in bragging rights. :D Cheerio. :)

better take the HD5770 & use the rest of the money in taking a cooler + extra fans for cabby. HD5770 should run games on full HD without any problem. oh yes. take ram 6Gb. triple channel memory supported in X58. so the total setup will be in balance.

yup. & VX450. i not think he needs VX550. & i recommend i7 cause it got more cache memory (L3 cache), which really helps in coding based works.

if u are choosing intel based rig
then go for jaskanwar's recommendation

and if u are going to take amd based rig
then go for sam.shab opinion
and change a couple of components
1.hd 5870->hd 5850
2.Cooler Master HAF 932 instead of cm 690 since u needed a "good " cabby(although cm 69 is also a "good" cabinet)

not haf 932 if u do not need big GPUs and heavy cooling(I say heavy ant not just good),
NZxt M59 is also good to go, IMO better -- some bucks saved will help retain his thoughts to buy core i7 which is good for him.
get corsair VX550W instead of VX450W adding 1K more
also if buying a cpu cooler then why not the noctua one which would not cost much more than N620, though N620 is also a very good cooler.

buy 6GB corsair @7K suggested above, triple channel performance will be a nice boost.
stick with HD5770 in 10K, or you may also reduce your gpu power and get HD5670 in 5-6K range. now if you think HD5770 go for VX550 and if HD5670 then VX450 will suffice, though I will suggest spend 1K and get VX550W(giving him edge in power supply), and you will never worry for making additions to your system even after 3-4 years.
