XBOX 360 controller query

Hello,

I don't have an XBOX however i am planning to buy a MS XBOX 360 controller for Windows 8 PC.

As of now ( and as per my RnD), current XBOX 360 controller is compatible with Surface RT and most of the games on it.

1. Does the same holds true for RT games we download from Windows 8.1 store ?

2. Will XBOX 360 controller work with new games coming in future? I am asking this because Xbox One is already launched. I don't want to buy a XBOX 360 controller only to have it incompatible with future games released for Windows 8 store xbox games.

I'm pretty sure MS wont phase out their controller suddenly, because it is the best controller you can get on PC

Can't trust them because of poor WP 7.x exp i had.
