Hi,
I am moving back to India and will be working from home. I am planning to stay in a well developed neighborhood of bangalore, so I get good braodband connection. I want some suggestions

1. Which broadband connection for working from home will be good. I will be using remote desktop to connect customers in USA.

2. Is there any peripheral available that makes it extra safe from virus and hackers. something for firewall

3. Which areas in bangalore is good to stay.

thank you

1.ISPs in India suck. But still, airtel is good, and is available in Bangalore.

2.Umm..u can download ur own firewall/antivir and configure it according to needs.OR..u mat buy a licensed package(better to get it from US itself) BTW, most ISP do provide Router Configuration that adds to extra bit of safety.

3.<dunno>

I suggest that you go for a router rather than a modem. Yes Airtel Broadband
is very good. If you are worried about security install ZoneAlarm firewall. It's
the best firewall. Since you will be using Remote Desktop (it carries lot of
security problems with it) , I suggest that you install ZoneAlarm Pro.
Some posh localities like Indira Nagar, Koramangala are very good areas to stay in
Bangalore. But it would be expensive there. You can choose the area according to your wish.
