Windows Live Spaces To Shut Down and Migrate Users to WordPress

Microsoft just announced that they are shutting down Windows Live Spaces and over 30 millions users will be migrated over to WordPress.com. Users will be migrated through a process that preserves all of their content, and all visitors who visit to the existing Microsoft Live Spaces sites will be automatically redirected to the new WordPress.com domain.

Users have the options of transferring their content to WordPress, downloading it and storing it locally or deleting it entirely when they hit the transition page. Windows Live Spaces will shut down in 6 months, so users will have ample time to make a decision before being forced to migrate or deletion of data takes place.

Great move... coz i really know very few ppl who were using MSN space for blogging.. I just upgraded to wordpress and you can see that at : Milind's space | Just another WordPress.com site
