windows live problem

hi guys i bought gears of war but i was'nt able to save my progress my friends told me to make an account with windows live how the heck that can be done
also when i start the game it says that"you are playing with an local gamer profile you won't be able to save your progress or get achievments" what's the solution

Install Game for Windows Live & create an offline profile. If you have the legal copy you shouldn't have a problem creating one.
