My friend purchased a laptop with Windows XP preinstalled in Italian language. How to convert it into English language?

windows dznt do language changes. i've looked and searched now, and from what I cud find, there's no way to switch from Italian to English within the operating system you're provided with; to get an English-language OS, u'd have to buy Windows XP English version.

but do go into the control panel and double click the Regional and Language Options icon. u can select different languages for the keyboard and other things. see what happens and let us also know too.

also click Can I convert Windows into a different language?

You can change the language in "Regional and Language Options" in Control Panel.

Start>Control Panel>Regional and Language Options>Languages
