I had a PC built with an Intel i5-6500 Processor and GIGABYTE GA-B150M-D3H built about 5 yrs ago. The MoBo died recently and I am looking for a new MoBo.
The Intel Processor has an LGA1151 Socket type. I couldn't find a MoBo online/offline that has an LGA1151 socket with Gen 6 Processor support.
Just want to confirm if this MSI H310M PRO-VDH Plus MoBo will work with my old LGA1151 Processor. The MSI mobo description says it supports 8th and 9th Gen Processors but it has an LGA 1151 socket. Does the Intel Gen support description matter if the socket type is same?
