Electric's are costly. First start learning, if you are comfortable and your interest remains then buy one.

I feel you should learn to play the acoustic guitar first...you would need patience to really start becoming a pro at it...but once you get the grasp on an acoustic then the rest of the guitars might just be a process of graduation...

Gibson's are great. If you can get your hands on a Jackson or PRS, go for it :D. But they will cost a lot. Also consider the cost of Pick-Ups and Amps :|.

I suggest a Heritage Elite Guitar with Spider Series Six Amps :).
