Which Laptop is the Best for Gaming nd Why ... ??

debsuvra

is NOT a PC/Mac
8600 ? there are better gaming laptops out there.
I think coolendra wants to find the best between the given two. :D

IMO, Go for the Dell XPS M1530. It's nVidia GeForce Go 8600M has GDDR3 memory and that will give you a performance boost over games. Also Dell is more customizable one. :D

Laptops are not for gaming!!!!

I got Dell Inspiron 1520 with 8600m gt, 5250 proccy and 1 gig ram. Crysis lags so bad.. unreal 3 runs on med settings. Maybe the bad part is proccy but still you won't njoy gaming on laptop...

Anyways customize Dell and go for it..

ya i know that notebooks r not best for gaming...but if on the go i can play games apart from work...its an aded advantage...

neways...in HP there is 512 MB of video graphics
nd in dell its 256 MB ... so goin by the saying...

Ain't BIGGER THE BETTER ?? [;)]....hehe...

i liked the HP 17" lappy
but am just a bit reluctant because of the graphics card...
will the HP lappy be able to play NFS PS nd crysis , Quake 4 etc ??....
if it can play these ...i'll go for it..coz the scrren is bigger for my 300 odd movies that i can watch on it then..

Just consdier the monster desktop you could get. Q6600, 8800 GT, 4 gigs of RAM, [faints]

dude....i already have a gaming desktop....jst that i've to leave home for MBA nd stuff.....
so need a good notebook which can suffice my basic gaming requirements on the go....

whc 1 would be better...???....also consider the fact that i also would watch movies nd also sometimes use it for work..;)...(ppt presentations nd stuff....)...

when it comes to memory, the HP has a very weak GPU. 8600 already doesn't use all of that 512 mb, and 256 is enough even for Desktop 8600. But the real problem is that HP gives 8600m GS and Dell gives 8600m GT and we all know that GS sucks compared to GT.

but i'm palying Crysis, CMR DiRT, Test Drive Unlimited, NFS PS on my dad's HP dv9704tx :p all these games palyed at max. resolution (while usin laptop's screen), 1024x78 resln. (when using my TV).

none of these games lag.

Crysis gives a steady 25+ fps. wit medium gfx. settings.

i'll try COD4 on laptop 2morow:))

i'm playing these on Vista.

The sound quality is superb for a laptop & louder too, the Quick Play is a added advantage with HP.

as its my dad's laptop, i dont want to mess with it:)) (installing other OS)
