it needs option Directory Index to be enabled in apache...

in httpd.conf you can enable or disbale directory index

so to view directory structure..that option should be enabled..

Of course, be warned that enabling it is not really considered secure, plus most people put custom-files in so that it gets displayed instead of the filelisting to enhance site security. However, if you wish to enable this navigate to the DirectoryIndex section in httpd.conf in your Apache/conf and add the directories/pages you want served.

enoonmai, :D
you gave him info about default file type...

i.e. default index file..

i think he asked abotu viewing folders..

anyways this is the code...

look around for

# The Options directive is both complicated and important. Please see
# *httpd.apache.org/docs-2.0/mod/core.html#options
# for more information.
#
Options Indexes FollowSymLinks

If directory index is disabled then you wont find Indexes written there, so to enable directory view add Indexes there

and remove Indexes from it..

You cannot see other website like that, due to security reasons. Only sites for which directory listing is allowed can be viewed. Ofcourse, there is a way to get a site's directory listed anyways, but If i mention this here, probably I would get a warning or get banned. ( Google is the key though! )
