Am looking for a gernal purpose intel 3rd gen laptops(i3 or i5). Prefer i5 if possible, with good battery backup Good Web Cam and USB 3.
Would like to play Mafia 2 @medium settings if possible. I am very much confused plz help me.

Get a Lenovo G-580. At 34k, it will give you an 3rd gen i5 @ 2.5-3.1 Ghz, 4 GB Ram, 500 GB HDD, 15.6 inch screen and Intel HD 4000 graphics. USB 3 is there, web cam is VGA but is quiet good for Video calling, pictures are quiet sharp.

I dont know about Mafia 2, but it plays GTA 3, Doom 3, UT 2004, NFS Most Wanted and NFS Undercover @ Very High settings @ 1366x768 resolution, buttery smooth

If gaming is concerned then take either of HP Pavilion G6-2005AX,HP Pavilion G6-2010AX,HP Pavilion G6-2201AX Laptop.
All of them have a8-4500m and hd7670m.The processor is comparable to 2nd/3rd gen i3 processors.All are equipped with usb3.0 ports

G580 is ok.I have one.But for gaming HD7670m is simply much better than hd4000.The thing is that even if you would be able to play some games with desired settings in
hd4000 but demanding games won't run at high settings and moreover games are becoming more demanding with time.
