Hi Guys,

There are three USB PORTS in a laptop, i.e.,one 2.0 and two 3.0. Can we use any accessories like keyboard,mouse,pen drive and ANY Apple i phones MODLES in any USB PORTS OR in a particular USEB PORTS LIKE 2.0 & 3.0?

Yea you can. USB 3.0 is backwards compatible and USB 2.0 devices will work on the 3.0 port.

Be it port or be it the device, but if one is USB2.0 then you will get USB2.0 speed only.

one more thing to consider is if Op's laptop has Asmedia USB 3.0 chispet and he is on win 8 then he should not install the Asmedia USB 3.0 driver - if only degrades performance and the default windows driver is enough.

But Win7 doesnt have inbuilt USB3.0 driver I hopt. Win8 might be having.

Sometimes Mice and KBs might not work in USB 3.0. Its a common issue and happened to me also.
