Urgent Rig needed below 30k

want to build a rig for a friend..

1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: he's not hard core gamer..he rarely plays games so no high end game rig..casual gaming..main purpose normal desktop application and some CAD related softwares like autocad, solidedge..(so onboard intel hd graphics will suffice + i3 4th gen??)

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans:30k max (can stretch +1/2k)

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: no overclocking

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: win7+

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 500gb

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans:yes..want LED 20" (at least)

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: (as of now) dont want ups, keyboard, mouse, speaker

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: this saturday (he needs it anyhow)

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: will assemble it myself

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: mumbai..will get it from lamington..

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans:how about this?

The best config you can get because if you go i3 then when you add any GPU further the i3 will certainly bottleneck your GPU. If you can stretch a bit then its awesome config for you.

@bavusani bro..it's out of budget.. Plus as I said he's not gonna play games that require high graphics.. So he won't be adding gpu.. Dont u think?

^^Nopes, i3 bottlenecks GPU like GTX 760, HD 7950 or anything higher by quiet a margin, specially for the new Multi-threaded games. In Crysis 3, there is more than 15 FPS difference between i5 3470 and i3 3200. Same story goes for games like Tomb Raider 2013, Bioshock and other new games.

Also, if OP goes for AMD config, he will be needing a Graphics card too.

no amd cilus..

how about i5-4430 with Asus H81 Plus (budget concerns)?? it should handle just like asus h61 handling my i5 2400 since two years..right? and what the hell..Flipkart quoted 2.8k for Abtec BP 300P while Infibeam quoted 1.8k?? lol..n how's that psu?? on the official site they mentioned 80% efficient (not bronze)..will it handle this rig?? if he wants to add gpu later which one would u prefer compatible with BP 300P..??

bro.as per my knowledge b85 chipset doesn't support HDMI interface i guess..so how can i use HDMI functionality with suggested HD monitor..?? same applies with B75 chipset as well..

also, m not getting 4th generation i3..so getting 3rd generation i3..so i guess i should finalize with the following one

i3-3220

Gigabyte GA-H77M-D3H

and please clear that HDMI doubt..

that asus board has hdmi port . but monitor has either dvi or vga output.you may use dvi from monitor to mobo.
