You can get Desire S for16k, if you can find one somewhere online coz you won't get that in local market.
Or can have a look at the following:
HTC Rhyme
HTC One V
Neo V

I am curious, why have the Spice Mi-425 & Karbonn A9 not been mentioned in the 5000-10000 segment. They seem pretty good choices for that price-point.

re: Mobile Buying Guide: September 2012

rule no.1
Any mobile that is rebranded and sold through a local brand is excluded even if the same is manufactured by International company.

if i include karbon and spice i'll have to include micromax, lava, iball, etc. So simply excluding any and all local brands.

price cut on Xperia S & One S. Also there is LG Optimus L9 but highly underpowered hardware. no idea of additional launches from Samsung, Sony or HTC.

re: Mobile Buying Guide: September 2012

One S already received a massive 5k pricecut and now both cost 27-28k. Xperia S may get a further pricecut if Ion's price come close to 32k. Current selling for 36k or so.
