Suggest a Budget AV Receiver

I have Narrowed Down to the two receivers that are the cheapest available Pioneer VSX 323 K and Yamaha RX v373

Both of them are pretty much the same.
I will buy the receiver first and speakers later.

Go for Yamaha. The auto mic setup will help calibrating the system easy.

do you think thats the only advantage at a cost of extra 4k? pioneer has the same feature but you have to buy the mic

I just auditioned and helped my brother get the RX-V 373. Its the best receiver this side of 30K. Get it eyes closed. It sounds awesome from surround panning to depth to subtlety to attack it has it all. Just match the speakers correctly. Give that Pioneer a miss. I heard all while gettinh it that Pioneer to Onkyo and the Denon. Only the Denon was as good musically.But that Yamaha is an all rounder,superb.

You better do that since you wont be buying an AV receiver every three months. The RX-V 373 can be bought for Rs 25K or lil less if you can bargain.

The Polk speakers are so powerful that I don't even need a subwoofer.

Next up is a polk Sub woofer and polk floor standing speakers. Need to save around 47k for that. as the floor standers will cost 30k and subwoofer will cost 17k.
Maybe I will get those in 2017.

Get all speakers as bookshelf and buy a better subwoofer like Polk DSW PRO 550/660 rather than the PSW series. For your amp an all book shelf 5.1 will do better. That is an entrylevel amp and was designed to drive small satellites. You can get the larger TSX 220B for the fronts. Moreover your FLRS wont pan or match properly with the SMALLISH 150C CENTER the 250C would have been ideal.
