High without substance...
this is my first post here.
i asked for help in some other place.

anyways i formatted a harddisk which had linux on it made it as NTFS.
installed XP PRO on it with out partitioning. 40Gb.
when i download some thing from the net server like gtalk or some thing from download.com my pc restarts ( The procedude is follwed that is it as if i
(restarted from the start menu ).

Does not show any error message before or after the restart,
now the stranger problem is that when i try to run hl2 epsoide one it restarts the same way again ( Every single time i try to launch the game ).
I tried going through the log file and this is what it said.

oh and i do not have the folder option in the tools menu.
please help.
i do not use any antivirus. suggest some strong antivirus.

my pc config is AMD AM2 3600 Athlon 2*512 DDR2 @ 533 Geforce 6200 256MB.

Liggy

Is actually a real word..
right click "my computer" select properties, advance tab, startup recovery, uncheck auto restart. now you should get an error message, (probably everyones favorite BSOD) which will help determine what the problem is. try googling the error, if that don't help podt it back here. when u installed windows did you do a quick, or full format?
