@chitvan:can u post the "lspci" output from konsole?.It seems that ur onboard sound is different than normal hda Azalia found in Intel mobos  but still the specs shows it is Realtek ALC860 !.also hope it is a original intel mobo?
One thing is you should either have "snd-hda-intel" module available or compiled inside the kernel :)
You shud really look forward for STEP-5: Add “model” to /etc/modprobe.d/sound file in *en.opensuse.org/AudioTroubleshooting

Also,post the o/p of "cat /proc/asound/version", "cat /proc/asound/cards"

also, update and upgrade your alsa and necessary packages via yum.@nucleus can help u reg this.

Resistance is Futile.
ALSA and intel-hda always have problems. First check: If all volume sliders are set to MAx(esp PCM and Front)

@praka Yum is in Fedora :D not openSUSE, in openSUSE it's YaST/zypper/smart

@chitvan: do as root in a terminal
Code:
modprobe snd-hda-intel

Yes, uses YUM

Try deleting the card from above, click finish and close the window.
Press Alt+F2 and open a Konsole
Type su, press ENTER, and give your root password and press ENTER
Now type alsaconf and press ENTER to configure your card
