Go to Control Panel -> System -> Hardware tab -> Device Manager. Select your LAN card and right click, then click on properties. Go to Advanced tab. Select the "Link Speed/Duplex Mode" Property and change its value from auto mode to "10Mbps Full Duplex mode". Click ok, exit and restart machine.

Well, you have to change it to 10MBps and not 100MBps.. give it a try.. With 100MBps the speed drops a lot.

Try using IP messenger. A great tool which will speed up the transfer rate. Worth a try, only ~100KB
