In my office I am connecting my laptop with a 20” acer monitor V206HQL. The connection is through a VGA to Hdmi converter since laptop doesn’t have vga port and monitor doesn’t have hdmi. My laptop’s native resolution is 1366*768 & monitor is 1600*900. But upon selecting 1366*768 or 1600*900 the monitor says Input type not supported.
When going into the monitors adapter settings in Windows 10 settings in laptop, the active resolution & input signal is both 1024*768.

How can I set the resolution on monitor to 1600*900 so that I could use the bigger screen.
Any resolution higher than 1024*768 I select from the List all modes option results in message of Input Type not supported on the monitor.
