I'd say get Ryzen 5 2600X.

Don't buy 1600. Also, don't buy Gigabyte mobo for Ryzen. Gigabyte isn't what it used to be.

MSI ryzen mobos have better overall quality than asus & as for after sales support it should be fine as they also have official service centres in India.MSI bios on ryzen mobos don't have vcore offset feature but it should not matter much for any overclocking except for extreme ones & even then it matters more for precision boost in 2nd gen ryzen processors(aka 2xxx series).

There is no "amd optimized" ram,either a ram will work with a particular processor+mobo+bios version or won't. Also anything above 2666mhz(for ryzen 1st gen) for ram is OC & it may or may not work above that depending on your "processor lottery",mobo & bios version. Gskill Trident Z brand is usually considered a bit better than corsair lpx though.

^ I guess he meant that B-die still works better for Ryzen.

Not necessarily,B-die has better probability of achieving higher clock rates but it still is "probability" not guarantee.Also B-die rams are costlier(even more so in India) & I don't think they are worth it currently(especially if all one aiming for is a decent OC).
