I also experienced problem with both Mozilla and Opera.So I used IE.It got uploaded in few seconds.Only thought I had in my mind was...

Strange. Mozilla has no issues with ANY google app.

It didn't work for me but when I uploaded my friend's profile pic on the same comp. it got uploaded.

After trying 10 times(in vain) to upload my profile picI uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox but to no avail.*www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-confused005.gif But IE did the trick.

Wow! IE has has got another plus point.

Maybe 2-3 years ago? When I did not know about Opera and didnt consider myself cool enough to use Firefox. I use Safari mostly though!
