Hi.

I noticed that the BSNL dataone plans are classified into single user & multiuser connections. Now I wonder how BSNL intends to stop people using their single user plans on multiple PCs. A simple network sharing setup is enough to share the connection on multiple machines. I counldn't understand why they have this restiction in the first place & how they intend to stop the internet sharing.

Also I intend to use my own router instead of the modem provided by BSNL. Could someone post all the settings that are needed to setup the connection (VCI, VPI, modulation type, etc)

hmmm.. Actually I a have a router here which I want to use to connect to BSNL, but I am unable to. The customer support has been of no help either. I need to know the seetings like Encapsulation type (VPI, VCI values), modulation type used, etc. Can anyone help?.

OK, I figured it out myself. Here are my findings if someone else is facing the same problem.

PPPoE protocol

VPI - 0
VCI - 35

Modulation type - G.DMT

I think this should do the trick.
