problem installing fedora,ubuntu

Hi friends..
I'm not able to install UBUNTU 64 bit and FEDORA 7 on my "AMD athlon x2 64 4200+" and motherboard "ASUS M2N8-VMX"
i m new to linux world......plz help me out...........while installing following msg comes

..MP-BIOS BUG:8254 timer not connected to IO-APIC
...trying to set up timer(IRQ 0) throught 8259A.................failed


kernel panic -not syncing:IO-APIC + timer doesnt work! Boot with apic=debug and send a report.
then try booting with 'noapic' option

yes!as the message above,you boot with kernel options "acpi=force noapic" .

How?
In Ubuntu livecd,there is an option to add extra kernel option.
that is,press F6 in boot prompt,append

acpi=force noapic

^into the end of the line it shows and boot!.

For fedora,enter above options in boot prompt and continue!
