Hi buddy

For a budget of 50k i suggest an intel based rig.

Processor-Intel core i5 750 @ 10k
Mobo - gigabyte ga p55 ud2@ 7k
Gpu - ati radeon 5770(sapphire)@ 10k
Hdd - Wd caviar green 1tb @ 4k
Ram- Transcend 2x2 gb 1333mhz @ 5.4k
PSU - Corsair Vx 450 @ 4k
Cabinet - cm elite 335 @ 2k
Monitor -
BenQ 22" G2220 FULL HD LCD Monitor @ 8k

It exceeds your budget a bit but you can cut down price on hdd by opting a 500gb.

Cpu - Intel core i5-750 (2.66Ghz) - 10.2k
Mobo - Intel DP55WB - 5.7k
Ram - Transcend 2x2gb 1333mhz ddr3 - 5.2k
HDD - Seagate 500gb - 2.3k
Optical drive - Samsung/LG DVD writer - 1.1k
Graphics card - ATI HD 4890 1gb GDDR5 - 12k
Cabinet - Cooler Master Elite 310 - 1.5k
SMPS - Corsair VX 550 - 5.5k
Monitor - Benq G2200HD - 8k

Total - 51k

Since you won't be overclocking , you won't need anything more than Intel board

ATI 5770 is crap. Since you want a gaming PC , ATI 4890 will be be best.

Don't buy ATI 5770 , its totally waste

DX11 games are not at all mature yet leave alone optimised.

ATI 5770 can't beat a ATI 4870 even. How do you expect it to a card to buy for 10k

ATI 4890+ Corei5 is a beast multitasking/monster gaming machine

@girishrn, unless you want to go for a DX11 card, Anubis's config is pretty solid. Just replace that Benq display with Dell 2409W or Samsung P2233SW (lavender series) and you are good to go. :)

Ati 5770 isn't a crappy card but is currently overpriced.Sure the 4890 churns out a few more fps than 5770 for current crop of games but in future it will perform better for dx 11 titles that are well optimised. The 5770 is a 40nm card and draws less power, heck even the 5850 is less power hungry than 4890.I think the OP should wait for prices of hd5xxx to come down and then decide.

here's a link *www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-hd-5770,2446-7.html

The intel board is rock solid sans overclocking as i currently own one.
The VX550 is a great psu but the VX450 can handle even a 5850 and will bring the costs DOWN BY 1.5K for the op.

Rest of the config. is fine.

look at fps given out by HD5770 at FullHD resolution when AA and AF are turned off. it's givine 34fps for crysis. But then look at arkham asylum fps when physx is enabled. mediocre 15fps for HD5770 but 48fps for GTX260 at FullHD.

And then in RE5, there is 20fps difference at FullHD with HD4890 in the lead.

I never really liked the price point of HD5770 and am also sceptical about dx11 performance.

When this card is giving just above 30fps in dx10 crysis, i seriously doubt its performance at FullHD for upcoming dx11 monster games like Alan Wake.

so my pick would be going for HD5850 for dx11 card.

@ desibond

Ya buddy i fully agree that 5850 is a great performer and is the card to game at fullhd but the price should come down to 4890 level.

The 5770 is also a good card but not meant to game at full hd but at resolutions say 1440 X 900 or even lower but again its overpriced.

The op should definitely get 5850 if budget no bar.
5770 should be considered if he wants to game at above mentioned resolutions sacrificing a few fps but ability to run dx11 titles.
He should wait for prices to come down.

^^again, a smooth running dx10 game with full gizmos enabled is better than a smooth running dx11 game with less gizmo and lower fps . isn't it?

HD5770 is same as 4870...in performance....but has a upperhand on DX11 plus cooler card.....
I suggest to OP..dat if u game @ full resolutions & full eye-candy then only go for
5850 or 4890...other dont waste money only on Gcards....

Yes, sure it is but i consider futureproofing. The op can definitely consider the 5850 and play the latest dx11 titles with all bells and whistles. The 4890 is good but will get old sooner once fermi launches so its better to stick with a dx11 class card.

What do you say?

If the user wants future-proof and good performance the HD5850 is the way to go. The 4890 will continue to hold, and spin out games well. Just keep the tessellation off when playing on Dx11, since it recognizes the code. Yes, all the Dx11 eye-candy will not be available, but it still has the horses.

DX11 is the way to go only if the user can sacrifice PhysX.

PhysX is not the only thing. Roughly probably every 1 in 6 games would have PhysX.

ATI 5770 cough to beat ATI 4870 in DX 9

Forget DX11 .

You can go nowhere with that card unless you crossfire it.

Buy wat is best at present

Ati 4890 will hold on till ATI 6xxx series arrive (next gen DX11 )

Till then ATI 5870 prices will drop and u'll can have a good DX11 card (not ATI 5770)

OP the choice is urs to make, but do consider PhysX is not the vital part of the game or is not the game

ATI 5770 is coughing now and will be coughing throughout till u do crossfire

Rather spending 12k now ATI 4890 1gb DDR5 is a much better choice and will play all ur games in full eye candy

Predicting tech is like predictng weather.

BUt do check the reviews of ATI 5770 ( should be priced 7k-8k) . Trust me a card that can't run games present already can never run games that are going to come

ATI 4890 is the best choice for 12k

Don't go for DX11 until Nvidia GT300 comes out

Then prices will be better for DX11 and when ur ATI 4890 can't take any more torture , grab a new DX11 card.

But ATI 4890 will last u through 2010 and Q2 2011

DX11 has lots of time to go mainstream. There are no optimised games for it even

what is he xactly sacrificing??

DX11 games come with their own physics(DX 11 rendering) so dun see much future of PhysX

All I meant to say was that if the guy wants a DX11 ready card now, he can only look at the Radeon HD5xxx series which do not have PhysX support. The only way to get both is to wait for GT300.

Aah..if the OP wants to wait till March 2010, then be my guest, then there will be news from ATi that they ware releasing HD6000 soon, so it's endless.

My suggestion to OP - If u wanna buy something, buy now, else come back when u want to buy it
