Friends,
I need a budget netbook for basic document editing and small model editing, etc. Pls suggest accordingly

1) What is your budget? (INR or USD)
Around 20K, lower is better

2) What size & weight consideration (if any) would you prefer?

Not larger than 12" screen. The netbook should be as light as possible

3) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
a. Like: DELL, TOSHIBA, SONY. But I can buy other brands too if the quality of netbook is good.
b. Dislike: NONE

4) What are the primary tasks will you be performing with this notebook?
Document and power point
Creating some basic solid models (Atleast 1 GB RAM, if possible more)
Reading e-books and research notes
Watching videos (if plays HD video then better but not compulsary)

5) What screen resolution(s) & type (glossy/matte) would you prefer?
Anything which works, I can scroll a bit if resolution is low

6) Anything else you would like to say? (eg: local purchase, ASS,matte/glossy finish)
I will use the netbook for long durations, maybe around 4-6 hours at at a stretch so battery life should be good.

Thanks in advancde

HP Mini 210-4006TU
Intel Atom Dual Core (2nd Generation)

Both are in your budget available on Flipkart.
Screen is better with Acer while battery is better for HP.

Thanks guys...
@sling-shot Acer Aspire 725 looks interesting... I am planning to buy in couple of weeks ... Only point of concern is the processor.... whether the processor is good enough for some basic solid modeling ?

It should be better than an Atom I guess. Coupled with the better graphics available, it may be interesting. It has USB 3.0 support according to Flipkart, but specifications should be cross checked from the manufacturer's website.
You may compare the processors and see how they fare here : PassMark - CPU Benchmarks - List of Benchmarked CPUs
If you are still in doubt, try increasing your budget by 4,000 and go for Samsung with E-450.

If you can increase your budget slightly or find a good deal somewhere, I think the HP Pavillion dm1 would be among the best netbooks in terms of performance and features.
