OK to use HDTV as a monitor?

will there be any ghosting issues while playing games? will the videos,games and text be crisp?
i plan to make a PC from scratch and use it with the monitor.

Yes, should work fine.

I was using a 39" Samsung LED for a few days and there weren't any problems except for one - In my case the display was kind of zoomed in. And so, I couldnt see the extreme ends. Like the windows/start at the bottom left of the screen was only partially visible and so was the time at the bottom right

^^use the overdrive/overscan/something like that setting in ati/nvidia graphics driver center setting.
