At its Slush 2014 conference in Finland, Nokia just introduced the N1, a brand new tablet running Android. The device features a sleek all-aluminum design, a 7.9-inch laminated display, a 64-bit quad-core Intel Atom Z358, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, an 8MP rear camera, a 5MP front-facing camera, and a 5,300 mAh battery. Full specs:

7.9-inch, 2048×1536 (4:3) IPS LCD with Gorilla Glass 3 and fully laminated zero air gap display
64-bit 2.3GHz Intel Atom Z3580 processor, PowerVR G6430 GPU with 2GB RAM
32GB built-in memory (non-expandable)
8 megapixel rear camera, 5 megapixel front camera
Dual channel 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi with MIMO, Bluetooth 4.0
Micro-USB 2.0 with a Type-C reversible connector
Stereo speakers
5300mAh battery

And it comes around 15000Rs....20k after taxes and stuff... But still

Looks promising but why didnt they release it as a full Windows 8.1 Pro tablet or give it as an optional variant

Well This is NOKIA, not Microsoft devices and no more ELOP :p
But seriously this device is a freaking steal :) Way to go Nokia

Everything looks good except missing flash and the front autofocus cam.

Also, a SIM alternative is missing.

Just now read a comment regarding missing SIM alternative @ GSMArena :

they can't due to agreement with microsoft. so we will see only wi fi models from nokia until 2016.

Is it true ?

Well Nokia sold their phone divison, and can use NOKIA on phones only after 2015 end or 2016, So basically Yea

^Using "name" and using "SIM/LTE" in tabs is altogether a different matter, I guess.

no elop,nokia quality now exists both on its own and with microsoft

Nokia is licensing its brand to Foxconn for the N1 tablet - GSMArena.com news

Its basically a Foxconn tablet with Nokia label
Although Nokia said it will monitor the quality control
And Nokia also helped in the design
