Newdev.dll

I installed a fresh copy of windows xp yesterday. Now whenever i try to install a driver it says
error in Newdev.dll
Missing entry: ClientSideInstall

I tried downloading the dll and putting it into system32 but it was of no use. Please suggest me something

How did you install the drivers ? Through CD ? Download drivers from motherboard site and see if it gives the same error while installing.

Reinstall modem driver.

I downloaded from the internet. Also when i plugged my usb, phone into the pc the error came. It also comes when i login my account

Never download newdev.dll from a "DLL download" website.

Run the sfc /scannow System File Checker command to replace a missing or corrupt copy of the newdev.dll file.

Open Command Prompt ,type the following command and then press Enter.

sfc /scannow

CAN'T DO IT. It says 'SFC' not recognized as an internal or external command

Download drivers again, reinstall and see if the error happens.

Also when login, i get strange application named 'Project1' about 7-8 times in running tasks window in task manager
