Ans: Run games like Call of duty modern warfare , Crysis 2 , watch HD movies , Music videos (online & offline ) , in few words m looking for something which displays & sounds heavenly.

Jas, Athlon II X4 635 is hardly available now a days. OP might need to opt for the Athlon II X4 640, available around 4.8K in flipkart.

can i cut into Graphic card cost & add in to Processor cost ??

Obviously Phenom II X4 processors are better than their Athlon II X4 counterparts due to the addition of 6 MB L3 cache. But cutting budget from GPU to get a Phenom is not a good idea. As you've mention that the main purpose is gaming, a good Gfx card is always much important. The config, given by Jas is perfectly balanced one. If you wanna a Phenom II processor, spend 1K extra and get Phenom II X4 955BE @ 5.8k TO 6k range.

Okay i will stick to the GPU 6790 , but m thinking about going for Phenom.

will the motherboard suggested be good/compatible for phenom also ?

or should i spend some bucks more ??

Ya, the suggested motherboard can handle all the current line up of Phenom II processors including the 6 core ones. It has even support for couple of AM3+ Bulldozer processors.

OR go with a Athlon II X3 445 3.4k that would bring it to 25.8k but i would suggest u to go with Phenom II X4 840 though it costs more but its worth it

Tarun, check out the latest prices buddy. P II X4 840 is not available anywhere @ 4.8K, it is around 5.5K now. 2X2 GB ram setuop does not make any sense as it will block all the ram slots of the motherboard, preventing any future upgrades. So a single 4GB is far better option. FSP SAGA II 500 is not at all 2K, it is around 2.3 to 2.5K.

buying phenom II 840 is a waste of money over athlon 640 as it is a rebranded athlon processor.so op if you want phenom II then buy 955 as suggested by cilus.but for everything else stay with jas's config it is very good.
