New Alienware 17 vs MSI GS60

Alienware 17 Gaming Laptop details 4th Gen Core i7 - Reviews

The above alienware 17 and the recently announced MSI GS60(with 860m) have nearly the same specs and pricing (1,37,xxx),only few differnces like ram,screen size and the gs60 has the build of an ultrabook.
So what do you guys recommend?

I would go with the MSI. Better keyboard, more portable and more classy lookswise.

Alienware has good built quality... If size is not an issue, go for it..

Alienwares don't have throttling issues. GTX 880m does.
There's some bug or something causing these cards to throttle before even reaching 90.

Lenovo messed up the EC I guess. TJunction temp of Haswell cards are much higher.

Both are powerful but look different and intended for different usage patterns.

Agree Alienwares might not ... but the new Alienware 17 with GTX 880m has serious Throttling issues ... do not know what the company is doing to mitigate this problem .

They can't do anything, it's Nvidia's fault. There was some ongoing discussion with some nvidia people.

Thanks for info Seamon , so it is better to stay away for Alienware (coz of Nvidia GPU) .. 4 time-being .. !!
