guys...
I am going to build my first gaming rig.....kinda on a tight budget......strictly rs43000.
I'm thinking of the following configuration.....
Intel core i5 2400
Intel dh67cl mobo(open to changes)
Corsair 1333mhz 4gb ram
Cooler master elite 310
Sapphire hd 6850
Seagate 500gb
Corsair cx500 500w psu(open to changes)
Benq g2222hd led monitor
Logitech kb+mouse combo(does'nt matter which one)
.
.
Please comment on the compatibility of the above components with each other.....
I heard about a non working dh67cl on corsair cx500.is it true..........
Please suggest the best for me...thanks in advance.

The cheapest i5 (i5 2320) will cost you around 9.5K and a good motherboard will be on 5K+ range. Then you have to get a mid end graphics card like HD 6770, which will severely hamper your 1080P game play experience. For 1080P gaming, GPU matters more than CPU and Phenom II 965 + HD 6870 combo will offer far better gaming experience than i5 2320 + HD 6770 combination. Now it is your call.

Also ....would'nt an hd 6850 be sufficient for playing future games like mw3,bf3 or mass effect 3 for the next 2 years......?? I dont mind scaling down the resolution a lil bit.......pls suggest.

what if i go with an i5 2400 and a msi hd 6850 cyclone......will the combo be sufficient for the needs of 1080 gaming??
I dont mind spending 1 or 2k more for gud performance.

I recently upgraded my system which cost me about 40000 , it included processor , motherboard , ram , gpu , psu , dvd drive , cabinet , cpu cooler.
Processor I5 2500 : 10800
Motherboard asus h61 : 3200
Ram Corsair xms3 ddr3 4x2gb : 2800
Gpu zotac 560 ti : 12950
Psu corsair gs 600 : 3800
Cabinet CM elite 430 : 2600
Cpu cooler hyper 212 evo : 2100
Dvd drive : 950

You can go for a bit lower config than this as you need HDD and monitor as well.
i5 2400 around 9k
h61 mobo 3.2k
RAM 4gb 1.2k
Gpu gtx 560 10k
Psu cx600 3.4k
Cabinet nzxt gamma 2k
dvd 950
monitor ben1 7.5k
HDD 500gb 6k

around and about 43k

Pairing a i5 2400 processor with an entry level H61 chipset based motherboard is really not a good idea. Get Intel DH67BL-B3 motherboard. Price will be within 5K. It will offer you USB 3.0 and SATA 6 Gbps ports and better suited for higher end processors.

i don't think there is much difference other than "C" being a ATX board & "B" being mATX

try SMCInternational. if they don't have it. get the other one.

there is nothing like compatibility between a motherboard & PSU.

have a look at this

Buy Mid Range System with FREE Service or Antivirus in Mumbai India

The link you provided is no way good for the OP, because it does not include the monitor and the GPU and the price excluding monitor and GPU is way too much 46k which is over from the OP's budget.

I dont know much about a psu ie different rails amperage and all that........but i read somewhere that motherboard has recommendations for these amperage of these rails......i saw a post somewhere where that dh67cl owner was not able to run this mobo with a particular psu but it worked fine with another one.
.....so can you pls confirm if the mobo would work with corsair gs600 psu ie are those so called amperages are correct for the mobo......
...
If there is no problem with the psu then looks like i'm going with the following rig.....
intel core i5 2400
Intel dh67cl mobo
Corsair 1333mhz 4gb ram
Cooler master elite 310
Sapphire hd 6850
Seagate 500gb
Corsair gs500 500w psu
Benq g2222hd led monitor
Logitech kb+mouse combo
...
...
One last question....i've read somewhere that cm elite 310 wont allow a gpu longer than 8.7 inches to fit in it.....if this is true then i wud have to change my cabinet???

Corsair GS500 is around 3.4K+ tax. On that price you can get Seasonic S12II 520 Bronze PSU which is overall a better product.
